Time For Children Foster Carer Family since 2013
We decided to Foster after numerous discussions. We were trying to decide if it was the right thing to do and how it would affect our family.
The decision was made as a family unit, that we would move forward and do it! We felt that our children were now old enough to understand why these children would be living with us and we felt secure in the knowledge that they were supportive of this decision.
In January of 2013 we went to panel after a thorough assessment and we were accepted into the world of fostering!
During the time we have been fostering we feel that we have made such a difference to the lives of all the children that have stayed with us and that is one of the reasons we started this journey. It has been amazing to see the difference in the children from the day they come to us to the day they leave.
One of the questions lots of people ask is “I’m not sure how it would affect my children” well we would say that it has brought our children closer together and made them and our family stronger.
We have enjoyed every minute of our time fostering during the ups and the downs but we would not change a single thing we have done or the decision to Foster.
